Vernacular is a publication featuring multidisciplinary artistic expression, including but not limited to painting, photography, mixed media, performance videos, short film, and music. Our goal is to highlight current work by primarily Chicago artists, as well as national and international artists who share our common language, our vernacular.

Brittany Doolittle is a Chicago-based visual artist and songbird. Though her primary focus involves sculpture, she has extensive experience with special effects make-up and puppet building. She is one half of Vernacular.
Una Delić is a writer and painter based in Chicago. She works with acrylic, watercolor, oil, chalk, pencil, Italian, English and Bosnian. She is one half of Vernacular.
