She seeks to create work that evokes feelings of comfort and familiarity while also delving into the deeper meanings of her heritage. By combining motifs of Korean culture with western woodworking techniques, she strives to create a bridge between her experiences and life in both Korea and the United States. She brings principles of balance to her work by utilizing patterns of symmetry and geometry.
