"Nature is Queer" discusses the many ways that nature breaks the binary between male and female organisms both in reproduction and sexual organ characteristics. Nature is not heteronormative and viewing ecology through that lens is counterproductive. To break down the binary, rigid, heteronormative understanding to bring light to all the ways nature is beautifully and ultimately queer.
