Issues around aging have recently begun to obsess her, for no apparent reason. Or perhaps because she is currently spending half her life in Florida.

Nicole Ferentz is a recently retired design professor/graphic designer/illustrator/artist who amuses herself in the absence of a career by drawing satirical pictures and making small books. After completing her MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she became a freelance graphic designer; the Department of Cultural Affairs was one of her clients. Ferentz ultimately became a professor of visual communication at Loyola University Chicago.
