I'm Not Trying To Change Anything, I'm Just Changing is an experimental publication that aims to dismantle your inner images, a necessary reset to survive our graphic-centric times. Featuring 30 pages of text and diagrammatic image poems, this compendium to our 2019 exhibit of the same name, weaves the history of computer graphics and tree rings into a unknowable shape that is only discernible by the sound they make when rubbed together. In addition, the publication features an audio preface (on 12" LP) of original vocal pop, spectral plastic flute music, and a wind-up bird funk meditation.
Dimensions: 12.25 x 12.25
Materials: Spiral bound sleeve, 10-page insert, 20-page saddle stitched book, one-sided LP, digitally printed interior, screen printed cover, screen printed LP
Sonnenzimmer
(Mayfair)
Sonnenzimmer is the collaborative practice of artists Nick Butcher & Nadine Nakanishi. They began working together in the early 2000’s combining their love for visual art, typography, graphic design, printmaking, and music in the form of screen printed concert posters. Their graphic practice has grown to include exhibitions, publishing, performance, commissioned graphic design, and music. Through each of these respective outputs, their core concern remains. They have come to view graphics as a fluid social membrane that allows humanity to think together beyond the individual. They view graphics as an augmented collective reality that each of us lay claim to. Their work seeks to illuminate and make sense of this space.
