Yesenia Bello (Uptown)
Yesenia Bello is an artist and arts worker in Chicago. Her lived bilingual experience acts as a springboard for the creation of ceramic sculptures and objects, drawn and printed wall works, and fabric installations, which are all playful and inventive in nature. Through a hybrid practice, she builds her own visual language infrastructure: a third language that takes up space and is free to express. Yesenia has exhibited widely at spaces such as the Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago Cultural Center, Tiger Strikes Asteroid (Chicago; LA), and most recently at LVL3 gallery.
