This fiber-painted pillow is one-of-a-kind from a handmade textile designed from repurposed threads, trim, laces, yarn and other fibers sewn together. Choosing colors and textures, and their placement, is similar to how a painter chooses paint for an abstract work. Dimensions: 16 x 16 x 3" Materials: Front is handmade textile. Back is wool. Filled with polyester fiberfill.
CMKapica (Lakeside East)
CMKapica is inspired by repurposing cast-off items into something extraordinary, creating hybrid textures, colors, forms, and space that involve and intrigue the viewer. Working with fibers, textiles, paint, wax, gemstones, wood, paper, jewelry and other found objects, these creations question societal tendencies to discard the old as irrelevant and useless. Their art has shown in juried venues and in published national anthologies, as well as in Chicago-area galleries and boutiques, and grace the walls of corporate and professional offices, as well as private collections.
